With two EPs under their belt and weekly gigs around the Metro, soul/funk group Banna Harbera is finally set to release their very first music video! We caught up with the band to find out more about their upcoming release, and their future plans.
“The song is kind of a letter that you never sent to someone from your past, but always wanted to,” they say about ‘Sorrys and Goodbyes.’ “A kind of, ‘I should have told you this sooner’ sort of thing. It's our first song that we really tried to make people feel and relate to it in a deeper sense. And the ocasional hugot vibes.”
Most regular gig-goers would already know ‘Sorrys and Goodbyes’ as one of their signature tracks, but the band is keeping mum on details about the upcoming video. “We can't really explain it in words. But we really hope people love the video. We've been working hard on it, and we hope people can relate to it.”
The launch will be held at Saguijo, Makati on April 29, 2017. Banna Harbera will be joined by the likes of Mayonnaise, MilesExperience, Tom’s Story, Jensen and the Flips, and Rob and the Hitmen. Check out the official poster below:
Fans might have to wait a little bit more for a Banna Harbera album, however, because the band tells us that they’re simply going “one step at a time.” “Of course, an album is on our to-do list, but we don’t want to rush things. We'll just have to wait and see where things lead us. Hopefully, we can make more people happy with our music, because that is our ultimate goal.”
