After being part of the acoustic duo Migz and Maya, one half of that partnership now enters the next phase of his career. We are referring to, of course to Migz Haleco who has become a solo artist after signing a contract with Star Music last July 13, Tuesday.
The possibilities are endless for Migz, but he admits going solo will offer a different set of challenges.
“Dati sanay din ako na may ka duo, and ngayon talagang iba din yung pressure sakin ng pagiging solo artist. Mas matrabaho din,” he revealed.
But in spite of the doubled work load, Migz thinks this will allow him to showcase more his artistry. “Mas gusto kong marinig [ng mga tao] yung mga songs na sinusulat ko talaga,” said Migz.

Migz also shared that his songs will mostly deal with love because it is a topic that people can easily relate to. He did reveal, however, that he writes songs based on the experiences of other people just to have a more neutral perspective.
“Ako kasi pag sumusulat ako ng kanta, hindi siya pressuring sakin. More on experiences ng ibang tao rather than mine kasi parang mas madaling gumawa ng kwento pag naririnig mo sa ibang tao compared sayo,” he said.
Music lovers familiar with Migz would know that he’s at his best with a guitar in hand. He said performing with his guitar will still be a huge part of his career as a solo artist. But as far as his upcoming album is concerned, there will be changes. One of those changes will be a shift from acoustic to a more band sounding kind of music.
Watch out for Migz’s first album as a Star Music recording artist including his original songs, and a special dream collaboration of his.

It may seem that Karlos is out of place in One Music PH because he’s someone who can’t live without sports. Until of course, he realized that he is equally passionate with music as well. He may not admit it just yet, but Karlos loves Davie Bowie very much. Oh, and he runs a barbershop too.
