August ended with a bang for ABS-CBNmobile subscribers and Kapamilya VIPs who took part in the One Music PH Music Fest as part of the Kapamilya VIP Program’s first anniversary celebration. Held last August 31 at Restaurant 9501 inside the ABS-CBN compound, the One Music PH Music Fest, hosted by Sharlene San Pedro, featured some of the best and up and coming local music artists.
The Kapamilya VIP Program is an exclusive service for ABS-CBNmobile subscribers wherein they will be given an opportunity to watch Kapamilya shows, movies and events. The special program's objective is to continue bringing ABS-CBNmobile subscribers closer to the world of ABS-CBN by giving them VIP access.
And VIP access to music is what Kapamilya VIPs got indeed as they were treated to a special show. Opening the festivities was the Philippines King of RnB JayR who performed fresh songs from his latest album “Elevated.” Next up was Filipino music icon and living legend Joey Ayala with his classic “Karaniwang Tao.” He was later joined onstage by Bullet Dumas, and together they previewed the great music to expect from when Ayala holds his comeback concert “Mandiriwa” on September 16.
Two guitar-wielding young men also took part in the Music Fest: One Music PH’s very own Volts Vallejo and The Voice of the Philippines season 1 alumnus Paolo Onesa. Both did awesome covers, but their original songs “Hey Crush” for Volts and “Atin Ang Gabi” for Paolo proved to be highlights of their respective performances.
Capping off the evening of performances was Harana’s Marlo Mortel who serenaded the audience with his rendition of “Sila” and “If I Ain’t Got You” also serving as a preview of his upcoming benefit concert for his mom on October 13.
Last Thursday night’s One Music PH Music Fest was one loud and clear way to celebrate a first anniversary for sure!

It may seem that Karlos is out of place in One Music PH because he’s someone who can’t live without sports. Until of course, he realized that he is equally passionate with music as well. He may not admit it just yet, but Karlos loves Davie Bowie very much. Oh, and he runs a barbershop too.
