Last July 13, Thursday, marked a special milestone for the four-piece alternative rock band Agsunta composed of Jireh Singson, Mikel Arevalo, Josh Planas, and Stephen Arevalo as they signed a contract with Star Music.
For quite some time now, the band has been creating waves in the local music scene thanks in large to their #AgsuntaSongRequests videos wherein they cover some of the best OPM hits.

After signing with Star Music, they’re expected to release an eight-track album before the year ends with original songs, and some covers as well, of course. But if you’re wondering if Agsunta will keep the #AgsuntaSongRequests campaign rolling, you’d be happy to know that the answer to that is a resounding yes.
“Magtutuloy pa rin kasi napag-decide namin ng band na kumbaga iba yung gagawin namin sa YouTube sa gagawin namin talaga dito sa career, kumbaga hindi namin papabayaan yung mga naging supporters namin sa YouTube,” Singson shared.
The band admits, however, that with the all the great things happening for them at the moment, it has become a challenge to balance everything. But it’s a challenge that they’re more than welcome to embrace.
“Actually ngayon mas hirap kami kasi sobrang busy na, sobrang daming ginagawa pero siguro masasanay lang din saka magbibigigay talaga kami ng time doon (#AgsuntaSongRequests) kasi nag-e-enjoy din talaga kami dun kumbaga, parehas kaming nag-e-enjoy (in recording and creating YouTube videos). Dun namin nalalabas lahat ng creativity namin,” Singson added.
And now that they’re with Star Music, there’s every reason for their supporters and other Filipino music fans to be excited what’s in store for Agsunta.

It may seem that Karlos is out of place in One Music PH because he’s someone who can’t live without sports. Until of course, he realized that he is equally passionate with music as well. He may not admit it just yet, but Karlos loves Davie Bowie very much. Oh, and he runs a barbershop too.
