KCON is the biggest Korean culture festival in the world, which has brought "all things Hallyu" to the West through KCON NY and KCON LA, and which have grown to become major events that Hallyu fans could only dream of going to.
Earlier this year, the organizers cancelled KCON in the United States for reasons of the pandemic, but, just as we thought that our KCON hopes have all been dashed, the organizers of KCON decided to mount the 10-day festival online, bringing the event not just to American fans, but to the rest of the world.
And now, KCON is coming to PH for free!
Yes, you heard it right, you can now attend the next KCON from the safety of your homes, free! This is indeed an unexpected and pleasant surprise for fans of Korean culture in Asia!
The event will run from October16-25, 2020. Not surprisingly, majority of the activities of the festival will center around K-pop, although there will also be some Korean influencers present. The highlight of the event are the concerts, and there will also be fan meets, pop-up studios and classes, Q&A, dance challenges, and " live premieres" -- which is a special live fan meeting with select artists before their concert performance. In addition, fans can submit messages they want to hear from the artist and the artist will read it to them face-to-face via Zoom.
