MANILA, Philippines — Live Nation Philippines is excited to announce the highly-requested Beatopia Tour 2022 to Manila of critically-acclaimed, award-winning Gen Z Filipina-British Gen Z icon beabadoobee. The concert is set to take place at New Frontier Theater this September 16.
Featuring the singles “Talk”, “See You Soon”, “Lovesong” and “10:36”, beabadoobee’s thrillingly diverse second album Beatopia (pronounced Bay-A-Toe-Pee-Uh) is now available on all major digital streaming platforms via Dirty Hit.
Beatopia is a dazzling yet profoundly personal world that was created in the imagination of a seven-year-old beabadoobee and has been carried with her ever since.
Her latest single “Sunny day” is a track inspired by her love of 00’s pop artists like Nelly Furtado and Corrine Bailey Rae. The video sees Bea take a trip into a mystical woodland, falling into its magical curiosities and befriending its inhabitants.
She says “‘Sunny day’ is a song that I've always wanted to make but something that I've never done before. Putting it on Beatopia was quite nerve wracking for me but I'm glad I did. We had written it during a week of crazy productivity in terms of creating songs, I had a session with Starsmith and the song just flowed naturally. I love it.”
Containing her most remarkable work to date, Beatopia marks a big progress for Bea as an artist, in the span of 14 tracks she shifts from fuzzy rock to classic singer-songwriter to psychedelia to midwest emo to outright pop and many more in between while remaining undoubtedly herself throughout.
beabadoobee will bring her first ever tour in Asia to 5 cities including Taipei, Manila, Seoul, Bangkok and Singapore.
