If you’re one of the many who grew up listening to 90’s music, particularly of boybands, then Boyzlife’s (composed of Brian McFadden of Westlife and Keith Duffy of Boyzone) Manila concert last December 4 at the Kia Theater was a nostalgic music affair that you shouldn’t have missed.
But for those who did catch the show, it was indeed a glorious trip down memory lane as Brian and Keith serenaded the Manila audience with hits by Westlife and Boyzone that many Filipinos are most definitely familiar with such as “Looking Like That,” “Picture Of You,” “Love Me For A Reason,” “No Matter What,” and “Uptown Girl,” among others.
While it was just Brian and Keith representing the popular boybands of the 90’s, the songs that they performed along with the nostalgia-powered energy brought by the crowd made the show absolutely memorable – and perhaps that was the whole point of it, to experience yet again the unique music magic that the two boybands have given to their respective and collective fans.
Making things more exciting is Keith’s promise that he will come back to Manila in 2018, this time bringing Boyzone along with him and Brian as part of the 25th anniversary next year of the beloved boyband.
Boyzlife’s stay in Manila was short and sweet, but the concert was definitely a reliving of all the memories Filipino fans built out of the music by Westlife and Boyzone.
Boyzlife live in Manila was presented by Ovation Productions.
It may seem that Karlos is out of place in One Music PH because he’s someone who can’t live without sports. Until of course, he realized that he is equally passionate with music as well. He may not admit it just yet, but Karlos loves Davie Bowie very much. Oh, and he runs a barbershop too.
