Barely a couple of weeks since BTS announced their hiatus to concentrate on solo projects in the near future, J-Hope just announced on Weverse early July 25 that he will release a solo LP entitled Jack in the Box this July 15. The first single single will drop next week, July 1.
BIG HIT Music also released a video teaser across all their official social media platforms that generated an enormous buzz online announcing the title Jack in the Box.
According to the official announcement, “Jack in the Box lends voice to J-Hope’s aspirations to break the mold and grow further. The album represents J-Hope’s own musical personality and vision as an artist.”
When they made their earth-shattering announcement of solo projects earlier this June, J-Hope said he sees it as a healthy step and natural progression.
“I think we should spend some time apart to learn how to be one again,” he explained. “I hope you don’t see this as a negative thing, and see it as a healthy plan. I think BTS will become stronger that way.”
The sad hiatus announcement had no negative effect on BTS' recent anthology release Proof. It became their sixth album to debut #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
