The long wait is over! Disney's live-action of "Aladdin" has finally hit theaters, so everyone is excited to see what's new with this new version.
One thing that we know for sure is that the classic duet of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine was given new life by two of the most talented artists in the country—Darren Espanto and Morissette Amon.
The two powerful vocalists gave fans the ultimate Aladdin experience sang their version live during a special media event by SM Cinema together with the Walt Disney Company Philippines, held at SM North Edsa on Thursday, May 23.
Fans were also able to walk the streets of Agrabah themselves in the "Magic of Aladdin" exhibit! From May 17 until May 31, fans can visit the exhibit at SM City North EDSA The Block Atrium to have their turn at the Cave of Wonders, rub Genie’s Magic Lamp, examine the Sultan’s Shoes, and see Magic Carpet up close.
Watch as Darren and Morissette show us a whole new world with their voices in the exclusive video below:
Earlier this month, Zayn and Zhavia Ward also released an updated rendition of the song, which appears during the movie's end credits.
Of course, we must pay respects to the original Aladdin and Jasmine singers, Brad Kane and Lea Salonga, because if not for them, we wouldn't hear these amazing remakes!
