It's been a heavy year for everyone, and the denizens of the music industry are no exception.
Citing mental health concerns and exhaustion, Kanye West cancelled the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo Tour, but not after a series of rants, including ones where he called out long time friend and collaborator Jay Z, and his spouse, Beyonce.
But that pales in comparison to the backlash received from quoting his support for the 2016 presidential elect, Donald Trump.
West stated firmly on stage that had he voted, he would have voted for Donald Trump.
The pair met up at a surprise visit from Kanye at the Trump Tower in New York City, sporting bleached hair and eyebrows, standing silently next to trump as he spoke, saying "I'm just here to take a picture."
Kanye also received a signed copy of Trump's TIME Magazine cover, with "To Kanye, you are a great friend," wrote Trump, along with a "thanks" and his signature.
