During her stint on the Pinoy Big Brother All-in edition back in 2014, wherein she won as 2nd Big Placer, Maris Racal was dubbed as the "Singing Sunshine of Davao."
Maris has proven the title as she stood out among her fellow housemates because of her passion for music.
Recalling one out of 119 days of her stay inside the famous yellow house along Eugenio Lopez Drive in Quezon City, Maris shared that she learned how to sing and play musical instruments at a very young age because her entire family is musically inclined. She learned to play the guitar, piano, ukulele, and even beatbox on her own by watching various videos online.
Almost two years have passed since those days when she was dreaming of making music and of becoming an actress at the same time.
Today, all her dreams are getting fulfilled one by one -- she had been part of the top-rating teleseryes on ABS-CBN, including the current We Will Survive; starred in blockbuster movies, including the musically-inclined film, The Breakup Playlist; she gets to perform on Kapamilya variety shows, ASAP and It's Showtime, as she's part of the all-girl group GirlTrends; and she has launched her debut single last year.
"Tanong Mo Sa Bituin" is part of the compilation album OPM Fresh released under Star Music.
Composed by Joven Tan, the song also became the official theme song of Maris' launching movie, Stars Versus Me, along with Manolo Pedrosa, who was her co-housemate in PBB.
Maris continues to excel in all the things she do, especially being an actress and a musician.
