Moonstar88 is on a high with the series of fortunate events that have happened to the them recently.
After their successful 19th year anniversary concert, dubbed as ‘Strings Attached,’ which was held last month, the band — comprises of Maysh Baay on vocals, Buddy Zabala on bass, Bert Hernandez on guitars, and Bon Sundiang on drums — had the chance to go to Dubai for their first major concert outside the Philippines.
Held at Dubai World Trade Centre in less than a week after ‘Strings Attached,’ which also marked the celebration of 18 years of their hit “Torete,” the Dubai Tagfest 2018 was a big success with all of the 10,000 concert tickets being sold out.
The huge crowd of our kababayans sang along to Moonstar88’s hits “Migraine,” “Sulat,” “Panalangin,” of course “Torete,” and among others.
During their free time, the band also took the chance to see the sights of Dubai, taste its local delights and experience first-hand their desert safari.

The music fest also featured other local artists such as 6cyclemind, the reunion of Teeth and the comeback of Kamikazee.
