Inigo Pascual is among the featured performers in Jo Koy’s upcoming special on Netflix set to be released on June 12.
Dubbed as ‘Jo Koy: In His Elements,’ the show celebrates the comedian’s Filipino-American heritage while highlighting the culture of Manila, according to a statement from Netflix.
‘Jo Koy: In His Elements’ will also showcase other Filipino-American performers such as breakdancer Ronnie, Grammy-winning producer !llmind, and comedians Andrew Lopez, Joey Guila, and Andrew Orolfo.
In a video posted on his Facebook page, Jo Koy said he needs “to show people where my mom's from, and I had this crazy idea.”
“I was like, let me bring a bunch of my friends that are Filipino, that live in America, that haven't even been back to the Philippines. Let's show them how beautiful the country is, let's show them how beautiful the people are, and let's just do a show," he added.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Inigo said he is very thankful for the opportunity to be included in Jo Koy’s show.
“I’m a big fan of his work and I think it's amazing that he’s including his Filipino roots in what he does. He’s got so much love for his supporters, most especially the Filipinos,” he said.
The two first met in Jo Koy’s show at Los Angeles, California in November 2019, wherein the comedian gave Inigo a signature cap and jacket.
