2017 has been a remarkable year for the Filipino band IV Of Spades – composed of Unique Salonga, Blaster Silonga, Zild Benitez, and Badjao De Castro – having garnered a huge following, most especially after the release of their hit song “Hey Barbara.”
Watch the music video of "Hey Barbara" in the YouTube video below.
But it seems like 2018 could be a year when the band takes its music to even greater heights as IV Of Spades has just recently made it to the Top 2 of Air Asia’s Dream Come True campaign. Should they end up taking the top spot, they will have the chance to perform with Grammy-award winning musician David Foster who also happens to be an ambassador of the airline.
For those not yet in the know, the Dream Come True was a special music campaign launched in partnership with Spotify in the hopes of discovering quality music from 20 artists hailing from the Southeast Asia region. The artist with the highest number of streams during the campaign takes the top spot, and eventually bagging the ultimate chance of performing in a David Foster concert.
With one more week left in the campaign period, IV Of Shades will need all the help and streams they can get to take the top spot. But with the high quality of music that the band produces, it’s not farfetched to happen.
Catch IV Of Shades also for the first time on the One Music Live stage next Tuesday, January 16 right here on One Music PH!

It may seem that Karlos is out of place in One Music PH because he’s someone who can’t live without sports. Until of course, he realized that he is equally passionate with music as well. He may not admit it just yet, but Karlos loves Davie Bowie very much. Oh, and he runs a barbershop too.
