While many Kapamilya stars could not physically join the noise barrage for ABS-CBN held on Saturday, most of them took to social media to join in solidarity through the candle lighting protest.
Female lead stars of the upcoming Kapamilya series 'Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,' Jodi Sta. Mari and Iza Calzado, all they way from their locked-in set lighted candles together to express their support.
"Nasa lock-in taping man kami ng ANG SA IYO AY AKIN, nakiisa kami sa motorcade at sa pagkilos laban sa nagpapasara ng ating tahanan," Iza wrote in her post of her photo with Jodi.
Dahil kung nagawa nila yan sa atin ay magagawa nila iyan kahit kanino man," she said. "Hindi tayo mananahimik lamang!"
Other young stars also partook in the virtual protest like Rise Artists Studio's Vivoree and Daniela Stranner, and Kira Balinger.
I bleed red, green, & blue. ❤️💚💙 Here at home in our province. Let’s continue to pray and speak up for our kapamilyas who lost their jobs. ✊🏼 #DefendPressFreedom #IbalikAngABSCBN
