It was only a few weeks ago when Tony-award winner and Grammy nominee, Lea Salonga, announced to her fans that she had broken her leg while on holiday, and that she has had to reschedule a few shows.
While assured everyone that the show(s) will go on, the singer also took to Twitter to address one question that many people have probably asked.
Of course you can say “break a leg” to me. I’ll just try to not take it so literally next time.— Lea Salonga (@MsLeaSalonga) January 29, 2019
This hilarious sentiment is a nod to how theater actors wish fellow performers "good luck" in a very ironic way.
Nonetheless, Lea has assured everyone that she is on the way to a full recovery, and is very excited for her upcoming shows. One show being the "Bridges Tour" with Josh Groban on February 22, which happens to fall on the actress' birthday.
Hoping to see more of that sense of humor onstage!
