After lording over music charts for a few years with her sometimes dark, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, foreboding brand of pop, Lorde has gone into a period of relative silence. This is not unheard of from the now 20 year old singer, as she is known for her unconventional approach to music and publicity.
But the young artist has come out of the woodwork as of late, after her only album Pure Heroine being released in 2013, and her last tour being in 2014, to cover Robyn's 2010 pop hit, "Hang With Me."
Accompanied by Jack Antonoff on a stage that looks at home on a post card, Lorde sits at a piano on a small stage, and transfers the futurustic, blipping, teenage want of the original into a dim, brooding piece of love.
As expected, carry on.
