Maymay Entrata's recently-launch self-titled debut album has reached Gold status in just a day.
This was announced over the long weekend as Star Music's Jonathan Manalo handed the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI)-certified plaque to the Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 737 Big Winner on live episode of ASAP, June 26.
Maymay, on her part, put into words through a social media post how grateful she is with such achievement.
"'Walang imposible' maraming salamat po sa nakakabliw nyong suporta po at sa tulong din po ng Star Music," she said.
Thanking her fans who are the main reasons why the album has sold over 7,500 on the day of its release, she told: "Kung ano ang naabot ko, ito'y para po sainyo. Mahal na mahal ko po kayo," she said.
Maymay's was officially launched last June 21 at SM North EDSA Skydome.
In the venue alone, the album has sold over 2,000 physical copies not to mention it, being number one on iTunes PH and being included in 20 iTunes charts in 11 countries on the day of its release.
Featuring the songs like the radio-hit "Baliw," her rendition of Toni Gonzaga's "Mahal Kita Kasi," and the carrier single "Toinks," the album can also be streamed via digital music platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify.
