There are only a few weeks left until One Paradise: Puno ng Musika, and we couldnt be more excited!
As the show draws nearer, One Music PH and Bantay Kalikasan hosted a blog conference on July 10, 2019, where the final roster of artists was revealed.
Among the talented musicians that will be sharing their voices for Mother Nature on July 27 are Maris Racal, AC Bonifacio, Sam Mangubat, joined by Davey Langit, Acel Van Ommen, HULO, Trisha Denise, JMKO, Justin Vasquez, and RJ Agustin.
L-R: HULO, Davey Langit, Acel van Ommen, Joy Mesina (Editor-In-Chief of One Music PH), Jen Deomano-Santos (Program Director of Bantay Kalikasan), Sam Mangubat, Trisha Denise, JMKO, and RJ Agustin.
Members of the press were given the opportunity to get to know the performers, who each shared their excitement about the upcoming gig for a cause.
Former Be Discovered artist Sam Mangubat—whose single "Pagka't Nariyan Ka" became the theme song for the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation—shared that he was honored to be included in the cause. "Feeling ko mayroon akong panibagong purpose, and I feel like I want to do this more," he said.
Acel van Ommen also shared her sentiments, saying, "Just the fact na nandoon kami sa La Mesa Ecopark, the last forest in Metro Manila, it brings that atmosphere na 'Wow, we have to do this. We really have to protect the environment that was given to us.' Kaya sobrang excited ako for this [event]."
To bring the conference to a close, the Program Director of Bantay Kalikasan, Ms. Jen Deomano-Santos shared a few heartfelt words of gratitude to the artists and everyone present.
"We are very grateful to One Music, and we are grateful to [you] the artists because if we are the only ones who speak the advocacy and we don't have you as mouthpieces, our message will fall flat," she said. "Having you of different ages, of different genres, of different talent, of different creative inlfuences saying the same message that we speak of, I think we will be able to reach more."
Her words ring true to the cause, as the ultimate purpose of One Paradise is to harness the power of music to bring awareness, appreciation, and inspiration to the youth to carry out our long term vision of a sustainable country, the Philippines our one true Paradise.
After the conference, guests and artists enjoyed delicious snacks from Krispy Kreme, who have also started the initiative to protect the environment through their Good Together for Nature campaign.
