Hundreds gathered at the Century City Mall Events Hall last August 4th for Moonlane Festival, which was a mini art festival spearheaded by Orange and Lemons. Early birds were treated to free scoops of dirty ice cream, in celebration of the re-release of their debut album "Love in the Land of Rubber Shoes & Dirty Ice Cream.”
Aside from the visual treats, Orange and Lemons also invited many well-known and up-and-coming acts such as Pupil, The Itchyworms, <S>andwich, Join The Club, The Camerawalls, Autotelic, Ang Bandang Shirley, Munimuni, Oh, Flamingo!, BennyBunnyBand, We Are Imaginary, Megan Trees, and Be Discovered artist Blind Stereo Moon, while four-piece band from the US, Take The Stage, opened the night’s festivities. The mix of OPM classics and new sound attracted audiences of different generations to flock the intimate venue, filling the hall with their voices as they sang along to all their favorite tunes.
The night came alive as Clem Castro and brothers, JM and Ace del Mundo, stepped onto the stage, setting in stone their comeback as a group after over a decade! All eyes were on them as they performed their greatest hits such as “Hanggang Kailan,” “Just Like A Splendid Love Song,” “A Beginning of Something Wonderful,” and “Lihim,” among others.
Moonlane Festival: a nostalgic feast for the senses, and a night many will always remember.
