Valentine’s Day has come and gone. This year’s hearts day was eventful for sure with countless concerts and other live performances happening throughout the metro and the rest of the country. But although this year’s Valentine’s Day is already in the past, it left us with one more surprise through the resulting Biga10 for the week ending last February 18. If you can’t wait to find out what that surprise is, then let’s get on with the most requested songs for Valentine’s week already!
10. Dito by Inigo Pascual
A hit song by Inigo Pascual already made its way out of the Biga10, but the young talented artist surely won’t stop there. And here he is now with “Dito” finally making its debut on the Biga10. Will it eventually top the chart like “Dahil Sa’Yo?” Don’t bet against it!
9. You by Jona
The song “You” by Jona falls down two spots from last week, and is in danger of exiting the Biga10. It’s been a month already since this beautiful song entered the chart, but we’re not ruling out a U-turn next week.
8. My Morena Girl by Hey Joe Show
Last week’s new entry jumps two spots up, and looks to surge higher in the weeks to come. The song has great potential, and has the makings of a chart topper. We’ll just have to wait and see if “My Morena Girl” will fulfill the promise.
7. At Ang Hirap by Angeline Quinto
Another OPM song suffers a minor setback as Angeline Quinto’s “At Ang Hirap” moves down by two spots this week. The fact that it’s Valentine’s week, and many people preferred romantic songs more might’ve contributed to this song’s drop in position. We’re expecting the song do better next week though.
6. Why Can’t It Be by Kaye Cal
A song by Kaye Cal made its way out of Biga10, but here comes a new one! Coming in strong right away at No.6 is “Why Can’t It Be.” This isn’t a prediction. This will happen. This new entry will move up in the coming weeks! No doubt about it!
5. I’ll Be There by Jed Madela and Darren Espanto
In the previous week, we thought and felt that this collaboration by Jed Madela and Darren Espanto will challenge for the top spot. What happened is otherwise, and with a couple of great new entries arriving, this could spell trouble for “I’ll Be There” in terms of chart positioning.
4. Baliw by Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber
Last week’s No.2 on the Biga10 falls two spots down. “Baliw” is now the longest staying song in the Biga10, so the decline is perhaps not a big surprise. Does this signal the song’s eventual exit from the chart? Probably. But we’re guessing the song is here to stay for a few more weeks.
3. Unli by Boyband PH
It’s a good thing that “Unli” moves up by one spot from last week as it is the only OPM song during Valentine’s week that reached the top three. Will it suddenly become the most requested song in the Biga10 next week? We won’t be surprised if it does.
2. Versace on the Floor by Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars’ “Versace on the Floor” finally loses hold of the top spot, and during Valentine’s week no less. The song that landed at No.1 was a big surprise, so it’s anyone’s guess what will happen to Bruno’s hit next week.
1. Say You Won’t Let Go by James Arthur
This is perhaps the biggest U-turn ever by a song in the Biga10! Last week, this James Arthur song was on the verge of leaving the chart at No.9, and on Valentine’s week, it becomes the most requested song! Will it be able to feed off from its Valentine’s power? There’s a strong likelihood it will.
