My Chemical Romance made its much-awaited comeback with its first new release since 2014. The six-minute song entitled “The Foundations of Decay,” recalls the emo outfit’s peak with frontman Gerard Way’s histrionic vocal stylings, ascending guitar riffs and an epic deliberate build-up. The song is produced by Way, Doug McKean and lead guitarist Ray Toro.
MCR is about to go on a reunion tour in North America and Europe, which was first scheduled in 2020 but was postponed because of the pandemic. The band will also be doing the emo fest When We Were Young and Riot Fest.
