// #OneMusicSuggests is the column for discovering fresh tracks from local independent artists, coming out every Friday here on One Music. It may be a new song, EP, or album… or it could simply be an old favorite that still deserves a listen. There’s definitely something for everyone in the thriving local music scene, and hopefully this column will help you find some new favorites to add to your playlists. She released a handful of great singles last year and now, Hana ACBD has come out with a new EP! A year in the making, “Shortcomings” has nine tracks, including her latest single, “Trust Fall,” which features Runway Crimes’ Philip Verzosa.
Speaking to Bandwagon Asia, she says that Trust Fall is “about someone with trust issues letting their guard down and finally opening up to a person they’re starting to love.” Known for her sweet voice and rhythmic beats, Hana ACBD perfectly captures that feeling in the catchy track.

Despite now being based in the US, her EP was produced by local musician Alisson Shore, whom she has collaborated with on past tracks like Miguel’s “Coffee” and (not-the-Chainsmokers’) “Closer.” The pair worked together despite the 15-hour time difference and the Philippines’ unreliable internet connection, painstakingly sending file after file for two months until “Shortcomings” was finally finished. A quick listen to the EP indicates that all the trouble was worth it.
“Shortcomings” was released on February 12, 2017, and is now available on Spotify, Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and Amazon Music. For more updates, check out Hana ACBD’s official Facebook page HERE.
