Anne's 'It's Showtime!' comeback also a rousing success!
With less than a month to go, Social Media Superstar Anne Curtis has been hard at work with rehearsals and preparations for her much-awaited concert, LUV-ANNE: The Comeback.
Happening on June 11 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World Manila, Anne is going all out with a stellar team: at the helm is director Paolo Valenciano with creative direction by Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, and the musical direction of maestro Louie Ocampo.
In a recent online press conference, the multi-hyphenate star shared that she has been enjoying her song and dance preparations for her comeback concert. She promised that her dance numbers with the G-Force Angels will have electric energy for every concert-goer. Anne also joked in jest that the crowd can also expect a good time as her voice is very well-rested due to her lengthy hiatus.
“In a way, one thing new here is that my voice is so well-rested. I think you will see the difference. My voice, may improvement kahit papaano,” Anne said. “Mas nag-mature yung style. Hindi naman mawawala ang biritan diyan but I will say that nakapahinga talaga yung voice ko. Gumanda (laughs). I wouldn’t say sobrang ganda, but there’s improvement.”
“It was a lot of preparation for me, I think, of being able to be ready to be on stage again," Anne also shared. "But you know, what’s great about this concert is that it’s really a kick-off party for my comeback. I’m now ready to start working again and to be passionate about my passions again, which, of course, include, acting eventually, along the way.”
Despite her busy schedule, Anne is still able to squeeze in tender moments with her daughter Dahlia via quick video calls. Those calls give Anne the spark of energy to give it her all during rehearsals.
Her time away from the limelight has given her plenty of time to reflect. “I think for any human being, it doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, you really have to make that time for yourself, to love yourself and to love your life, which maybe because, you know, you’re so, not naman addicted, but so driven. It’s always a great time for you to take a step back, realize and take notice of the things that truly matter,” Anne bared.
