Sam Milby nails 10th anniversary concert
Rockoustic Heartthrob Sam Milby celebrated his 10th year in showbiz with a concert titled 'The Milby Way.'
Held at the Kia Theatre in Quezon City on Saturday, November 29, 'The Milby Way' showcased Sam's talent, not just as a singer, but as a total performer as he performed songs that best remind of his career milestones -- from commercials, albums, teleseryes, and movies; mash-up songs, sexy and acrobatic dances.
"I'm very happy that a lot of people that were part of my 10 years were here tonight," said Sam in an interview backstage.
He was joined by guest performers such as Yeng Constantino, KZ Tandingan, Angeline Quinto, Kyla, Rayver Cruz, John Prats, Enchong Dee, Gerald Anderson, and Piolo Pascual.
But among the highlights of the night, the most talked-about was his ex-girlfriend Anne Curtis' surprise appearance. They performed a mash-up of 'Hello' by Adele and 'Hello' by Lionel Richie.
"Anne has been a big part of my life, in general. I'm so thankful, her schedule worked out," he shared.
At the middle of the show, Sam turned a bit emotional as he thanked his family, especially his dad who just turned 81, as it was their first time to watch him in a concert.
Sam also expressed his thoughts on the great turn-out of the event through social media.
"No words can express how grateful I am for everyone who came & joined me for my 10th year anniversary celebration," he said. "I'm only here because I have the love & support from you guys!"
Asked what's next for him, Sam told: "I'm doing two teleseryes. Ngayon 'yung 'Doble Kara' and soon, 'yung 'Written In Our Stars' with Toni (Gonzaga) and Piolo (Pascual)."
"I'm also recording for a new album under Star Music," he added.
