Rising young singer FANA got the surprise of her life when she was selected by none other than her former The Voice PH 2017 coach, Popster Royalty Sarah Geronimo to perform a cover of “Fall in Love Alone”, the soulful and bopping viral hit by Stacey Ryan on ASAP.
As FANA would tell it, it was an ordinary day preparing for another stint on ASAP when she first got shocked that the script/sequence for their number only indicated her name alongside Sarah's, as opposed to the usual ASAP number where there would be around four to more than 10 names on any given number. She was even more shocked when she eventually learned that Sarah specifically asked for her to do the performance. Needless to say, performing with Sarah G. has always been really high on the singer's bucketlist.
"Ever since po talaga, popster na talaga ako," FANA professed. She even admits to being thrilled that Sarah addressed her by he real name, Fatima.
FANA would eventually make her breakthrough when she joined Idol Philippines in 2019, where she ended up as one of the top finalists. Her much-awaited album is coming out real soon. Sarah has recently released three singles that will be part of her first full-length album since 2018 - "Dati-Dati", "Cuore", and "Sansinukob, Salamat".
On her official Instagram page, FANA said: "No Words can express how I feel right now.ðŸ˜ðŸ’–
I am a huge fan of Ate Sarah. Being part of the Voice Teens under her team was already an achievement. But this time, sharing the stage with the Popstar Royalty, in one prod, was something I never thought would happen. I couldn't contain my happiness. Oh, my Popster heart🥺💖 Yes, one of the most memorable performances I have in the ASAP stage. Thank you, Coach Sarah, for this fantastic experience. Thank you, my @asapofficial Family, for making this happen. Dreams do come true.🥺💖"
