Before “The Other Side of Darren” began, everyone knew how great a singer Darren Espanto is. After his digital concert right here on One Music PH, nothing has changed, except that we all love him so much more, now that we’ve witnessed a side of Darren that all of us have been eager to see. The way he moved, how he interacted with the crowd, and of course, the manner in which he performed his songs were done in such a way that only Darren can – brilliantly tasteful. And in case you missed his digital concert (or even if you didn’t), here’s the set list of his truly impressive show.
Can’t Stop The Feeling
Darren couldn’t have opened the digital concert with a better song. His rendition of “Can’t Stop The Feeling” set the tone for the entire show. He was smooth throughout the song number, but brought vibrant energy that the live audience definitely felt.
As it is, the song is beautiful. How else can you make it more special? By singing it with a genuine Darrenatic on stage, of course! That’s what Darren did, and seeing him perform a duet with one of his beloved supporters was indeed memorable.
Makita Kang Muli
One of the best moments in the digital concert was when Darren shared the stage with Morissette. Their duet of “Makita Kang Muli” was hair-raising, and the harmony of two crazily talented singers was just positively overwhelming. What made this duet even more amazing is the realization that they both had Sarah Geronimo as a coach in their respective The Voice journeys.
Where Is The Love?
Darren ended the digital concert with the song “Where Is The Love?” He gave a different feel to it which was a bit more laid-back compared from the original version. But Darren’s version sticks with you because his vocals and youth make you listen more closely to the lyrics. Did the message of the song get through to everyone? We certainly hope so!
