
Choi Siwon will not make it on legendary K-pop group Super Junior's concert in Manila this coming Saturday August 6 after testing positive for COVID-19.
Concert producers Dream Maker Entertainment Limited and PULP Live World made a joint official announcement saying that Siwon was confirmed with the respiratory illness after taking a PCR test following SuJu's concerts in Bangkok, Thailand last weekend.

The producers also confirmed that the show will go on and that the rest of the group - Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun will still perform in the Manila show. Super Junior is acknowledged as one of K-pop's first and biggest progenitors, with hits such as "Sorry Sorry" and "Bonamana" achieving phenomenal global success. They last toured in Manila December 2019. The boy band released its 11th studio album The Road: Keep on Going last July.
