This past weekend, stars and everyone else gathered at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the NHL All-Star Game weekend. Among those who participated in the all-star affair was Canadian pop superstar Justin Bieber who grabbed the attention of many due to his surprising hockey skills, and a physical encounter with Chris Pronger.
Bieber was part of the team coached by the legendary hockey player Wayne Gretzky and included the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr., Tim Robbins, and Carter Thicke. They played against the team led by another hockey great Mario Lemieux whose roster included Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch and former NHL defenseman Pronger who’s known as a hardnosed player.
Hockey is a prominent sport in Canada, but it was amazing for many to find out that Bieber has legit skills on ice. His teammate Gooding Jr. definitely agrees to this. “I was shocked at how good the kid can play. He really has nice skills, and he's a real sweet kid, too,” the actor said.

It wasn’t just Bieber’s hockey skills that took center stage, however, as Pronger introduced Bieber to his trademark body check, and crushed the “Sorry” singer to the glass. It wasn’t really a solid hit, but given that physicality is a common element in the game of hockey, Pronger’s hit on Bieber was a welcoming sight indeed to hockey fans.

Of course, that was just part of the fun, and Bieber even scored a goal before the end of the game to help hand his team a 5-3 victory. At the end of the day, that’s the reason why All-Star games are fun to watch because we get to see a different side of our music idols when they play in them.
