A little over a month since it was officially released, Kim Chiu's hit track "Bawal Lumabas: The Classroom Song" has come a long way.
On Monday, the Chinita Princess looked back at its journey through a vlog post on her YouTube channel.
Kim thanked everyone who supported the song -- from streaming and downloading it on digital music platforms to making TikTok dance covers and even buying its merchandise, which she personally made for its proceeds to be donated to 'Shop & Share,' an initiative led by Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis to aid the government in increasing testing for COVID-19.
"Gusto kong magpasalamat sa lahat ng sumuporta sa bawal lumabas the classroom song, sa nag dance cover, and sa bawal lumabas shirt for a cause! This is a journey I will never forget. Everything happens for a reason, I think the reason is for us is to be reminded that life always challenged us, for us to be a better person and to come out stronger," she said.
The 'Love Thy Woman' star reminded her subscribers to "never give up sa lahat ng trials ng buhay. Mag Dasal at alam natin na hindi tayo pababayaan ng itaas."
"Sa mga classmates ko maraming salamat!!!! Mabuhay kayong lahat!" Kim added.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, she shared that from the merchandise of "Bawal Lumabas," they "were able to give sa 1,500 families and 300 thousand pesos for mass testing c/o shop and share!"
