Billie Eilish had two concert rules for last Saturday's Happier Than Ever Tour Live in Manila at SM MOA Arena: a) "Don't be an assh*le to anyone", and b) "Have as much fun as possible please."
And true enough, people were more than happy to oblige. The crowd was alive and electric from the amzing set that Billie played with her brother and partner-in-crime FINNEAS and drummer Andrew Marshall. The band played through 22 songs in very kinetic fashion that it did not feel like 22 songs. Highlights included the opener "bury a friend", "OXYTOCIN", "bad guy" and the closer title track. Billie and FInneas also performed "The 30th" from their recently-released EP Guitar Songs for the very first time ever.
At one point, Billie also asked the crowd to close their eyes and to think of the people they are thankful for. At that moment, we were just thankful that she finally got to perform in Manila.
