Xian Lim, to date, has released three albums — So It’s You in 2012, XL2 last year, and Key of X this year. Yet, it is still a continuous process for the chinito heartthrob in finding his own place in the music industry.
In his solo bloggers conference on Wednesday for Key of X Live, a special show for his album which will be held at Eastwood Open Park this Sunday (December 3), Xian told that “it is still a continuous search to find my place [in the music industry].”
“I want to explore more, do more music,” he stated.
With the songs in the Key of X album, Xian’s influences seem to be a mix of different genres — from ballad to OPM.
“Growing up, ito ‘yung mga songs na naririnig ko palagi,” he shared. “Part of that is listening to April Boy Regino so I asked (Star Music) if I could include ‘Honey My Love So Sweet.’”
Key of X Live at Eastwood will serve as an early Christmas treat to Xian’s supporters since 2017 has been a fruitful year for him — from winning acting awards to holding sold-out concert and mall tours.
Xian noted that this Sunday’s show will be a bit different from his birthday concert of the same title last July 15.
“Of course, the venue is different. What happened in Solaire is not what will exactly happen on Sunday,” Xian shared. “It’s like we added couple of songs but there are songs from the concert that I will perform in Eastwood.”
