Fresh from his triple-trophy haul at the 30th Awit Awards, Zion Aquino is poised to captivate ears and hearts once more with his cover of “Reason Enough”, a track originally from Regine Velasquez’s 1994 album Listen Without Prejudice.
After being awarded Best RNB Recording, Best Ballad Recording, and Best New Male Artist for his debut album, the release marks a significant step for the rising singer, since this is his first single under Star Music.
During the contract signing with his new label, Zion shared about the mix of excitement and trepidation that came with the undertaking.
“I am very thankful for the trust that my Star Music gave me for letting me do this song. But who wouldn’t get scared,” he confessed.
“This is a Regine Velasquez original. It was also very challenging for me recording this song. I love singing strong, rough, and edgy. But for this project, I had to use the more tender side of my voice.”
The song was written and produced by Trina Belamide, who also happens to be Zion’s Manager.
With this tender, soulful new single, “Reason Enough” is just one more reason Zion is an artist that continually deserves our attention.
Zion's rendition of "Reason Enough" is now available in all digital music platforms.
